Pete is a native New Englander and graduated from Middlebury College in 2014 with majors in Economics, Molecular Biology and Biochemistry. Between college and medical school, he performed translational cardiovascular research, taught courses for students interested in STEM, and dusted off his camera for some scenic Boston shots. While immersing himself at Ariadne Labs, he learned the powerful implications of design's role in healthcare and became inspired to incorporate this thinking into his own clinical regimen. Pete’s experience lies at the intersection of medicine, entrepreneurship, and global health. Aside from serving as a Design+Health course coordinator, his projects at Brown include HealthCORE, MURMUR (alpertmurmur.org), and the Brown Med Venture Group. He looks forward to helping grow the Design+Health movement at AMS and other spaces it is needed in medicine.
